Poor Alfie. The crows have not been intimidated by his rather nice birds of prey stickers. He has decided to have one last ditch attempt at sorting the problem out by ordering some more ominous black birds of prey in black silhouette. He says the pretty coloured ones can come into the office to stop the little birds accidentally flying into the window in there. As for the crows, if this doesn’t work I don’t know what we are going to do. I wonder if we could smear the window with something that doesn’t taste very nice to crows, but then how do you find out what they like and there’s the problem of cleaning the window afterwards. I suppose we could put something cushioned on the window so that when they peck it doesn’t make a noise!
I’m delighted to say my Tracca is here and I’m in the process of setting it up. I need a bit of help with the fiddly bits and I find it hard to do my collar up on my own, but our Mistress is on hand to help so it will all get sorted. I shall try to get her to take my photo wearing my new collar later so that she can show you tomorrow.
We told you our Mistress set herself a writing challenge to write 30,000 words in a month, well she made it. She actually got to 34,000 words. Now she has set herself the challenge this month to beat what she did last month. There’s going to be steam coming off the keyboard at some points of the month if she’s going to achieve it, especially with a likely trip to Switzerland somewhere in there. She’s asked if we’ll help by behaving a little better, but I can’t see that happening!
