Yesterday I wished for warmer weather and that’s exactly what I got. It was a lovely sunny day here and we were all a lot happier for it. Anyway today I’m going to wish for the crows to stop tapping on the window and see if that one can be fulfilled as quickly. 4.36am is not a time of day that either I or my Mistress want to be woken by crows. I think I told you that we’ve sent for birds of prey stickers to go on the windows and I have to say I am now questioning the sanity of our Mistress in refusing to pay postage and opting for the slower delivery time. In reality you can’t put a price on a good night’s sleep. Our Master has suggested we go out and invite some of the real birds of prey in to sit on the landing in the meantime, but I have to say that plan could make trips to the bathroom very hairy in the middle of the night. The owls aren’t really big enough to deal with the crows and I don’t really know about the red kites we see. I think we might need something at least the size of a buzzard to be on the safe side or maybe just invite a large cat to move in, although that might be fraught with difficulties too.
Ari’s Tracca has arrived for him to test. His neck is too big for the collar that comes with it, so he’s now sporting a rather swish new leather collar as it wouldn’t go on his old purple spotty one. He looks very proud in it, but then I guess he’ll want to tell you about that. He can’t start his trial yet as he’s waiting for his sim card to arrive. He’s going to be unbearable with his own mobile phone number! I can see my naps being disturbed with the classic phone calls of “Hello, I’m on a walk.”
