What would you do with my Mum? Right up until Monday she was limping and our Mistress was worried about her leg. Even at the show on Sunday it was obvious that she was limping and standing in a weird way. Then all of a sudden since she’s been home it has got much better and now she’s barely limping at all. She is even jumping into the car and not asking for the ramp, which after two months of struggling is an amazing turnaround. She’s had some nice long walks again and even went for a run on Thursday. She was a bit tired from being out of condition but suffered no other ill effects. Now she’s working on getting her fitness back in time to mate. She’s started reducing her pain killers so hopefully that won’t lead to any flare up. What a shame she wasn’t better a week sooner so she would have looked better at the show. I said that to our Mistress, but she very gently explained that our mum isn’t really a show quality dog and despite her lovely smile she was never really likely to do well. Isn’t it odd how she’s managed to have such good looking children?
One really exciting thing that I’m looking forward to is that we have been asked to test a new tracking device that we wear on our collar and Alfie says I can do the testing. It means I will actually have my own mobile phone number so you can call me. I can’t promise to answer if I’m in the middle of something important, but it’s very exciting. I shall do a full review for you when I’ve had chance to try it out and see what it can do and how much it costs to run. Apparently the battery lasts for 880 hours. I’ve not worked out exactly how many days that is, I ran out of toes, but it’s quite a lot!

Hi Ari, Let me know how the testing goes as one of my housemates – a beagle- went missing for two and a half hours on Tuesday afternoon. She did come back by herself and was not injured. We were all very worried but she had had a great time and was happy but exhausted! Love Dickens X
it’s Ari here rather than Alfie – I hope I don’t have to get lost to try it. I don’t think I’d like that very much. Lots of roos bro. Ari.
