Sunday 7th December 2014 – Soggi Doggy

Today I’ve got an update on my lovely sister Soggi. She was called Annette when she was born and was the puppy that Andy liked looking after. They got quite close. Anyway, here is what she wrote to me.

Hello Ari,

Soggi 1

This is your sister Soggi writing from deepest Devon. It seems a long time ago now that we spent those couple of weeks together as the last of the ‘A’ litter! Sounds like you are very responsible and grown-up, being put in charge of Alfie’s blog and all that. I’m sure that neither of those things could be said about me. Fortunately, the people I live with are not very grown-up too, so I get away with it. However, I developed a good strategy early on. I never cause any mess in the house, never chew or destroy anything, always eat everything I am given (including some pretty weird stuff like beetroot – you should see the pees and poohs!). As a result, I can be a complete “eejit” and avoid being sent to the “naughty dogs home” – so I still greet the postie with a good old Swissli “get off my farm” bark; occasionally I seek out with unerring precision the smelliest badger pooh in the county and luxuriate in it; experience the sheer joy of flying through the air after anything regardless….so I have lost one tooth (ages ago now) and chipped one of my big ones. I think it gives me a character smile! I love swimming  and think I am pretty good at it, especially the leaping in part.

Sorry I did not see you at the get together this year. My people said they were “busy” – hmmph! I am always busy, but not too busy to keep in touch with my clan. Hope to see you again soon.

Best regards,

Soggi

It sounds as though Soggi is throwing herself into life in the same sort of ways that Megan used to. Reading it made me really miss Megan and her sheer zest for life. I hope she’s ok too. Perhaps I should write to her and find out how she’s doing as well.

Love

Ari
