Those of you who know my Mistress will be aware that one thing she is not is a smoker. However, if you looked at her hands right now you could be forgiven to thinking she smoked a lot! The truth is that for the pantomime she has needed to coat herself in fake tan so has been applying it every other day to try to stop herself being pasty white. On the whole she has done quite a good job, however I don’t think she could have washed her hands as thoroughly the last time she did it as the ends of her fingers look for all the world as though they are stained with nicotine. Once the pantomime is over she is likely to go back to being pasty white, at least until next spring when she is threatening to return to applying the fake tan as she has quite enjoyed looking a little healthier!
Shadow has reached the 23 weeks since her last season mark – this equals her shortest interval between seasons so now we just have to wait. Since she has been adult it has always been 25 weeks and over so my Mistress said she would be surprised if it were yet, but you never know. She has long since learnt with all of this that she needs to expect the unexpected. She says it would work best for her if it were sooner rather than later now, but there is no way Shadow is going to take any notice of that one! We have had so many people joining the puppy waiting list recently that we desperately hope it all goes well. No pressure Shadow, just do your best.
It turned cold yesterday and none of us wanted to do anything except stay in and keep warm. So much for being mountain dogs. Megan used to come alive when the temperature dropped, I think the rest of us have gone a bit soft.
