Thursday 16th October 2014 – Feeling down

I’m really not feeling well at the moment and need cheering up. The house is very quiet as both Shadow and Ari have understood that I need to be left alone. I’m just curled up being miserable and wanting to stay as near my Mistress as possible.

There are lots of things that are good that are happening and I do keep having brief moments of cheering up. Hopefully you will have seen the competition I posted as an extra post yesterday. We’re really very excited about it, so do take a look. On top of that, my Mistress has nearly finished the book cover for the Pet Dogs Democratic Party Manifesto and says I can show it to you soon.

The other good thing is my Mistress’s rather than mine. She has been trying a new treatment for her food allergies and intolerances and it takes a little while before it starts working. Anyway, it’s been just over 10 weeks now and she is beginning to try eating foods that were making her ill and she is finding some that she is now ok with. It may not sound much to most of you, but she had got down to there being a list of only about 26 things she could eat, so adding in another 4 this week is very very exciting for her. She is going to keep trying to add things and hopes it will mean that eventually she will be able to eat normally again. It takes a while for the treatment to work completely so she won’t be trying a tub of ice cream just then, but hopefully eventually she may be able to. It’s always sad when we are all eating ice creams and all she can do is hold them for us. Actually, this might sound selfish but I might just go and have a word with her and say that an ice cream might help cheer me up at the moment. She keeps some in the freezer especially for us, and buys cones for us too!
