Thursday 28th August 2014 – An important request

Shadow is getting all the sympathy. She is still not well and hasn’t eaten very much all week. We’ve offered to make up for it and eat on her behalf but we have been assured in no uncertain terms that it does not work like that and we need to show a little more support to Shadow. It’s hard. She’s being offered fresh roast turkey and rice now and it smells good. If she isn’t much better later today then my Mistress is going to take her back to the vet. On the up side, our Master was away last night so we all got to sleep on the bed with our Mistress. Shadow and I moved to our own beds part way through the night, but Ari took full advantage of the situation.

I make no apologies for starting early as Puppy Awareness Week doesn’t start until 1st of September, but it is so important that I want there to be plenty of time for people to see it and follow the link. As you will realise I was only complaining a week or so ago that too few people understand what is entailed in healthy happy puppies arriving into the world, so it’s a pleasure to be part of this bigger campaign. I’d also like all or you in the UK to write to your MP about puppy farming. There is a debate in the House of Commons on 4th September and as I have not been asked to be part of it, despite being the leader of the Pet Dogs Democratic Party, the least I could do was to write to our MP. Don’t worry if you don’t know what your MP is called, you can find the link to that on the page as well. It also gives their email addresses so there is no need to buy a stamp. Please help to get this important issue addressed. It is for the good of so many dogs.
