My Mistress is trying to only supplement when the puppies really need it. It is far better for them to have milk from Shadow than it is to be given a substitute, as much as anything for the immunity and antibodies it passes on. However, there hasn’t really been a day when Shadow has had nearly enough milk. My Mistress tried yesterday to supplement only those puppies who said they were still hungry. For the most part that worked. Cinderella always said she was hungry but Cassanova said he was fine. The weights this morning paint a slightly different picture. Chekov is back on track, he gained 120g and is now 1460g. Casanova on the other paw only gained 10g and is now 1410g. He is going to have special treatment today. Cracker added 60g and is now 1420g. Cinderella added 90g to reach 1390g. Cosette did a little catching up and added 100g to make 1310g and dear little Cuddles added 80g to reach 1140g and is now 5 days ahead of where Aristotle was, so is gaining nicely.

It shows the puppies waking up and having a little play, while the deep sleeper on the other side is Cinderella getting her beauty sleep.
