Sunday 10th November 2013 – My own private remembrance

Every so often something happens which completely overshadows everything else. Yesterday I received news that my mother, Anka vom Bogenthal had died at the age of 12½ . I am so grateful that I had chance to see her again last summer. People often doubt that dogs have good memories, but we do. I hadn’t seen Mum for over 4 years but you never forget your mum and when she had to go I cried. I don’t mind admitting crying. I may be a big strong male, but I have the same feelings underneath and in reality I am quite a sensitive chap. I thought today I would bring you one or two photos in memory of my Mum, the best Mum a dog could have. I’ll always think of you and

remember what a good mum you were to our litter of puppies and to all the other puppies you had. I hope you are now enjoying playing in the endless pastures on the other side of the rainbow bridge and maybe you’ve managed to find Dad again, although I’m not really sure how all that works. My love to all my human family in Belgium too. We’re all thinking about you.
