Well, Shadow did mate yesterday but I think she may have taken my Mistress at her word when she said she felt too tired to hold her for very long and the whole thing only lasted about 5 minutes. Neither Shadow now Falk were as interested as they were the previous day so hopefully Sunday was the best day for her. It just shows it is a good job my Mistress did not wait to do another progesterone test as it would have been a wasted journey by the time she got the result.
After that she had to wait for her vet visit before they could start the journey home. When they left Switzerland it was like a summer’s day. They drove through some beautiful countryside, the sky was blue and the temperature was as much as 26 in places. My Mistress had to pinch herself to remember it was October. She did say if this was what it was like then please could she move to Switzerland as she thought she might rather like living there. Reality kicked in when she crossed into France and as the journey progressed, first the clouds came in and then the temperature started to drop, before eventually the rain started. By the time they reached their hotel for the night the temperature was down to 14 and not nearly so summery. I said she should be grateful that her weather has at least been better than ours, but my comments fell on deaf ears as she daydreamed about Switzerland. It’s ironic that we nearly got the chance to move there when she didn’t really know what it was like and now she wants to go, there isn’t the opportunity. As long as she doesn’t go without me then I don’t mind.
