Well we’re off home this morning. My Mistress’s hand is quite swollen so we’ve got to be careful with her, but she’s supposed to be using it as much as possible so there is no reason she can’t run round after her as usual. No sooner will we get there then she will be setting off to collect Megan. Aristotle has offered to go with her, but my Mistress said she’d be fine on her own. I am going to make the most of my last few hours of not being jumped on. I think the plan for when she gets home is to take the girls for a long walk before bringing Megan in to settle down. There is one thing we are all a little worried about. In another week Bella is coming to stay. Last time Bella saw Megan was when she chomped a chunk out of her ear, so I can’t imagine that Megan will be looking forward to it. My Mistress is once again planning a lot of walking to try to get the girls to make up. I said that she’d always got her second ear!
My Mistress couldn’t be happier that we have finally got some good weather and has promised to spend as much time as possible outside with us. I pointed out that we’d all be too hot, but she said we could sit in the shade. She’s going to take the cover off the triffids this weekend and dig up a carrot to see how they are doing. They are going to outgrow the cover the way they are going – they are huge! I’m worried they are going to get up and walk off somewhere or maybe take their revenge for being kept constrained under netting. I think I might read too many scary books!
