It was just an ordinary day yesterday. There was no particular good news, we’d used all that up the day before. Nothing very much happened at all. As Megan is out of the way, I have moved in on the front room and claimed it as my own, for those times I want a private nap away from the worry of being pounced on by a puppy, so far no one has argued with me over it. Shadow is too happy sitting by my Mistress’s feet and it means Ari gets a whole settee to himself. Aristotle did find a piece of wood to chew on that came from the log basket in ‘my room’ but he had the decency to take it outside to chew on and it wasn’t a piece I wanted for myself.
I had time to read some of my Mistress’s website http://rjkind.com and found she’d been writing about me, which is always alarming. Apparently SHE didn’t think this diary would run for more than a year or two, as if it was her decision. It’s my diary and I’ll write it for as long as I like. I even went off subcontracting out to Aristotle when I realised he might be better at it than I am. Every dog needs something that is their own and this is mine.
I don’t think I told you about the people who came to visit us dogs last weekend. They are waiting for their own puppy and they wanted to see what the full grown ones were like in their home environment. We had a great time. They were happy to lavish us with love and attention which is always a good start. The bloke’s daughter wants to call their puppy ‘Dave’ which we all concluded that it was so much what you wouldn’t call your dog that it was just perfect. My Mistress now plans to call a puppy from our ‘D’ litter Dave which will be fantastic.
