I’m not sure if I should be saying ‘Is this spring?’ or ‘was that spring?’ It was sunny and warm for two days at the star of the week and we got all optimistic and bouncy. I’m back to curling up somewhere warm and away from the outdoors. By rights we are owed a long hot summer starting sometime about now. In reality I don’t suppose we are going to get it. Shadow is still driving us mad. She wants to be with us and my Mistress has explained to her very simply that it is best for all that she is not in the same room as me and Ari. It’s never easy. At least for her next season she will be off to see another stud dog so won’t be around us. We just need to contend with Megan, although she may go and stay with someone else for a while so we may be spared the constant reminder of our inadequacies in the stud dog department.
My Mistress is busy setting up everything for the breeding test for our breed to run in this country for the first time. A friend from America has offered to come over to judge for us, which is just amazing. It’s going to take a lot of people to set it all up as there is the character test as well as the test to make sure we look right. I’ve volunteered to stay at home out of the way when they do it, but I may not have that option. It’s not as though I can help, but apparently we are having our fun day the same afternoon so I might be around but in the car out of the way. My Mistress has finally, after having the car for nearly 18 months, worked out how to lock everything else and leave the boot wide open for us so we are completely comfortable. It’s just a shame there is only room for 2 of us.
