Monday 1st April 2013 – Now you see them – now you don’t

After a wonderful weekend ending up as runners up on the murder mystery weekend they went on my Master and Mistress will be home today. In my Mistress’s case she will be home for all of about 14hours before setting off for Switzerland to collet Megan. We just need to make the most of her while she’s with us as we then have to cope with a complete week without her.  What was funny over their weekend is that they spent time talking about us. I’d just like to say a hello to the lovely lady who was part of their cast and who despite the fact that she died sometime during Saturday is now back from the dead and planning to drop in to see what I’m up to. Then there was the lovely American lady who has recently lost her dog who was a Bernese Mountain Dog and got very excited to learn of a breed that is smaller than a Bernese but like them in many ways. My Mistress is emailing her about the breeders in America.

Quite apart from the great fun of trying to solve the mystery they had great fun meeting two Norwegian couples who had come to the UK especially to go on the weekend. My Mistress is totally in awe of someone whose language skills stretch as far as investigating several murders all in a foreign language.

There is just one small issue I should raise. I’m very disappointed that there were no dogs involved. Obviously I’d be more concerned if any dogs were murdered in the plot, but one or other of the characters should have had their faithful friend there as company when it all happened. Aristotle has volunteered to take on a role and says he’s willing to learn fast and quite prepared to play a different character other than himself. For a biscuit he says he’ll answer to anything. My Mistress said that for a biscuit he’d give up the murderer!
