Monday 11th March 2013 – A big blue cow

Our stand at discover dogs was the best decorated it has ever been, I know Alfie showed you a picture the other day that I thought you might like to see a picture of my mistress and me when we were looking after the stand.Discover Dogs RJK and Ari

There were only a couple of things that phased me over the time I was away. Firstly, there was the gigantic blue cow that was being used to advertise the stall selling milkshakes. I didn’t bark, I was just a little taken aback to see it. I stepped a little further away and skirted round the edge. I did bark a little later in the day when a man wearing a large dog head walked past me, it’s just not the sort of thing a puppy expects to see. The Australian cattle dog on the stand opposite me bark quite a lot of the time. The first time it happened I thought he was calling to me so I answered, but when I realised he was talking to himself I didn’t bother after that.

It was interesting to see how many more English people had heard of our breed than was the case last year. We even had people come to see us who had been watching the puppies on the puppycam. Then a lovely lady from Belgium who knew Alfie’s mum came to see us and another Belgian lady who was a vet and had met us in the hotel came by to see us on the stand as well. Then there was a gentleman who was a breeder in the German club my mistress talked to for ages. He knows my father and also some of the other dogs that my mistress was talking about.

What was funny was the number of people who said they wanted to take me home, I was really rather flattered. At the end of the day there was no one I would have gone home with except my mistress.

With lots of love, Aristotle.
