Tuesday 19th February 2013 – All gone pear shaped

My Mistress is one of life’s planners. She is very good at planning. Everything is planned with precision. Of course there are some things which don’t fall into line and when that happens it throws all the plans out. Megan has thrown all the plans out. The plan was that she would be separated from Shadow for 4 weeks before her season started. That was the plan! Sadly, Megan had other ideas. Megan’s season started yesterday. She has been apart from Shadow for only one week. I don’t know whether she was missing home and wants to get back as soon as possible. Whatever the reason, her season has started and she will be having a blood test later this week to see when she will be ready to mate. It may now mean she is there for more than 4 weeks after mating as my Mistress will need enough time for her hand to recover from her operation before she drives back to Switzerland to pick her up. Whatever happens we just hope that it works this time and that Megan and Leon can have a litter of beautiful little Entlebucher puppies. We are all rooting for you Megan.

Our front garden is starting to look much better, thanks to James. It is now easier for my Master and Mistress to turn into the drive without having to drive through half a bush to get here. The gate goes all the way back to the gatepost and the window to the snug is no longer covered by the wisteria and honeysuckle. All in all it is a significant improvement. He’s going to fight the holly bush tomorrow and as I know from painful experience they have a tendency to fight back.
