The last batch was too thick and I have a horrible fear that this one is too thin. It will be edible and easier to serve than the last lot, but I think something went wrong on the quantities as there were more jars filled than the recipe said it would make. I’ve offered to help with the eating.
Shadow is looking very thin and scrawny but my Mistress says it’s mainly because she’s lost her coat ready for her season starting. I wonder whether she will start at exactly the same time as Megan. My Mistress is going to ring Megan later to see how she got on having her stitches out. We’re all missing her. It’s very odd her not being here. Her room is nearly finished being decorated though, so it will be all ready for her coming home. The garden is starting to look tidier too. James is working really hard and my Mistress is very happy with how things are going.
When it was nice and sunny earlier Shadow and I begged for a game of ball. We managed to have a little one, but not for too long. The grass is still very wet and we’d have made an awful mess of it and besides I’m not supposed to run too much. I did enjoy it though. Ari doesn’t get to play because of his leg so it was just me and Shadow against my Mistress.
My Mistress has to go to the hospital today to be checked over before she has her hand operated on this Thursday. She says she’s not looking forward to the op as she’s not over keen on seeing her own blood and it’s done under a local anaesthetic. I wish I could go as her therapy dog but I’m not qualified and I don’t like the sight of her blood either.
