Monday 11th February 2013 – Switzerland is cold

When I heard from my Mistress the temperature was minus eight and there’s lots of snow on the ground. However, she hasn’t had to use her snow chains as the snow isn’t fresh, so now she feels cheated. Megan is very happy to see everyone, but didn’t really want to be left behind. Megan says her ear is healing quite well. She has been able to take her bandage off but is still having to wear her cone. The bad news is that you can really see that someone has bitten her ear as there is a mouth shaped bit missing. It won’t look so bad when the hair grows back. Her hair is longer too so hopefully it won’t look too obvious. She is feeling sad that her show career has ended before it even started, but I said she could always think she would have won without ever having to put it to the test.

Megan is going to see the vet this morning so that he can check her ear and talk to her about when she mates. He will tell her when she needs to have blood tests so that she gets the time right this time. I hope she remembers to take a pen and paper with her so that she can write it all down and not forget. Then she’s going to have to wave my Master and Mistress goodbye and that will all get a bit emotional.

At the place they stayed the night before, my Master went out to get some food while my Mistress stayed with Megan. All would have been fine had be not got stuck outside the gate to the hotel, which wouldn’t open. The reception lady had to call an engineer. First of all he told her to stick a pencil into a slot but all that happened was there was a flash and a bang and the gate stayed closed. Thankfully the engineer got it sorted so the gate was open and he got back to the hotel room feeling very cold.

We’ve heard from Tess. She is doing really well. She’s happy and looks as beautiful as ever.
