I’ve realised with everyone being so busy we haven’t put the collars on the puppies yet. We will try to do that tomorrow as we still have visitors today. My Mistress has woken up with a sore throat and does not feel very well so we’re having to occupy ourselves and leave her alone. It’s dangerous to ask Aristotle to occupy himself. Now that he’s got past the basics of door opening and breaking out of his crate, he’ll probably spend the day on the internet learning a new skill like safe cracking.
The weights did reflect what we expected to happen after yesterday. The puppies didn’t eat much, whether that was because of the worming or not we don’t know. It may be because we didn’t blend their food and that was how they wanted it. Anyway, today they had blended food for breakfast again and ate it all, which was good news. Three of them lost weight yesterday. Beija lost 50g and is back to 3240g. Basil lost 40g so is 3380g. Tucker lost 20g so he is 3540g. Tess and Dickens managed to gain weight, both adding 80g to reach 3510g and 3910g respectively. We’ll have to see how they do today. If they start demanding to have some yoghurt mixed in again we will have to go to the shops.
It’s probably time to start thinking of some new year’s resolutions. The puppies are a little young to have to worry about it. I guess if they were to make any they should be along the lines of settling quickly into their new homes and being good puppies who learn the ‘dos and don’ts’ of family life really quickly. I’m a little older so I probably ought to think about it more seriously. Perhaps I’ll talk to the others and see what they’ve got in mind. I’m waiting to see what my Mistress is planning too – she usually makes a few resolutions so there are enough left to succeed on when she’s broken a few.
