With the amount of rain we’ve had and the fact that more is forecast I’d be surprised if Santa will be able to find anywhere dry enough for the reindeer to get a good enough run for take-off. I’m wondering if it would be more useful for him to deliver presents by ark or some other boat this year. I’d hate to think there were places he couldn’t get through to because of the weather.
There are certain things that my Mistress has been saving religiously since the last litter of puppies. One of those as you know has been newspapers and thankfully so have many of our friends and family and it looks as though this year we will have enough. The other thing that we have shelves and cupboards full of is plastic carrier bags. For the last few weeks she hasn’t needed many and she was starting to think there must have been something different last year. Ha ha – she was wrong. It’s just that she didn’t need them until the puppies moved onto solid food and the amount of poo clearance rocketed. She is now getting through quite a large number of plastic bags each day and is starting to make a dent on the supply in the first cupboard. She doesn’t mind if we have newspaper and bags left over as if things go to plan it will only be about five months until Megan’s litter are born. We really hope it works for Megan as we don’t want to wait a whole year before we hear the patter of tiny paws again. It really is quite addictive. My Mistress just loves taking care of them and none of it, not even the night-time riots, is too much trouble. She’s already starting to think about how much she will miss them in three weeks, but I’ve reassured her that she still has us and we’d be happy for her to spend the extra time on playing with us.
