Sunday 9th December 2012 – A thank you

To start with, I’m a lucky dog. One of my Mistress’s friends has come to see us. She is hoping to have one of the boys from this litter to become a stud dog. Anyway, she brought a present that her sister had bought for me. I am thrilled, thank you. It’s lovely to know that someone feels sorry for me for what I’ve had to put up with from the girls the last few weeks. I was very touched by the thought and am sending an extra special lick in appreciation. On top of that my Mistress’s friend has bought simply loads of toys for the puppies. We aren’t going to give them to them all at once as inevitably at all times some will be in the washing machine. However, there are more than enough for them to be very spoilt little puppies indeed.

How can you eat like that?

Puppy mush time got rather out of paw at teatime yesterday. There was a lot of walking through it, sitting in it and making my Mistress wear it, but not a great deal of eating it. The puppy mush today is going to be a little thicker in consistency to make it all a bit easier. They seemed happiest to eat if from my Mistress’s hand, which with runny puppy mush was easier said than done.

I probably should have started by telling you that my Mistress is a little worried about Shadow again. She really wasn’t herself yesterday and not keen to either sit down or eat. She was quite lethargic too. We’re just hoping it is a small setback and not a more serious problem. Come on, Shadow, let’s put our difference behind us and get back to normal. I’m worrying about you and the puppies need you to be ok too.
