Shadow is in her whelping box and pacing and nesting. She’s leaking milk and panting. As I wrote that she has clamboured out and is having a wander round. She’s really unimpressed that my Mistress has taken her usual bed out as it was more comfortable but not really suited to bringing puppies into the world. She didn’t want anything to eat or drink this morning. Not even best mince. She has asked for quiet and calm and says she doesn’t think it will be long.
