Sunday 4th September 2011 – Accidentally signing up to dodgy websites

I know I’m an adult, but there are some things even I don’t need to see. There may be children reading, so I won’t go into too much detail. One of my dear friends, who will remain nameless for reasons that will become apparent, made a suggestion of a website that might help me with the video streaming of the puppies. I think in his defence I should tell you that he is not actually a member of this web site and had only read what it was capable of.  Basically it is a site for live video chat. However as soon as I signed up it asked me which magazines I wanted to subscribe to and they were all about things that as a non-stud dog I stand absolutely no chance of getting up to.

I called my Mistress over to help me to unsubscribe as quickly as possible and she said she was very glad I had used my own email address. Well I wasn’t to know. It looked all very innocent on the outside. It turns out it was somewhere I could have met complete strangers for all sorts of things that are way outside of my realms of experience. I just hope we don’t get any follow up emails.

My Mistress said at that point that enough was enough and we would have to do regular video updates rather than a live cam. We can still set up the camera and leave it running for ages filming, but then upload the videos to the internet and put a link in my blog. It just means that maybe you only get to see a quarter of an hour of what goes on out of every hour, but you’ll still be able to see them growing day by day. It certainly sounded like a better idea than me having to sign up to any dodgy websites.

  1. What a sensible fellow you are, Alfie, to consult your Mistress straight away on this. It’s all well and good for a dog to get an education, but that’s definitely not what you need.

I look forward to the videos, though I know it will make me very puppy clucky. I have enough dogs as it is!

  2. With friends like that you don’t need enemies 🙂

I think puppy updates in any format will be brilliant – I only wish I could borrow one little puppy to play with when they’re big enough, but my humans say no. Apparently one Entlebucher in this house is enough for them!

    • One Entlebucher in the house was enough for me too, but my humans kept bringing them home. Now it seems like there are hundreds even though there are only three of us.
