Two tails just wouldn’t be enough to describe how happy I was to see them arrive home. I was torn between rushing up to my Mistress for a cuddle and rushing up to Shadow to ask her all about it. In the split second I needed to decide, I of course settled on my Mistress. In any case Shadow said she was feeling tired after the journey and more than anything wanted a toilet stop and a lie down.
Megan, on the other paw, was more than ready to chase me round the garden to work off her excitement. She had wanted to chase Shadow but my Mistress is insisting that Shadow takes it easy in case she is pregnant. In any case I think Shadow has had enough excitement for a while. I don’t think my Mistress wants to see the inside of a car again for a very long time.
We went round the garden together to do an inspection of the plants. It’s amazing how much things have grown while Shadow has been away. She was impressed that the protection has been taken way from round the trees and from the glint in her eye I think she is planning a secretive digging session. There are a few things now flowering that were only getting ready before she went away. She nibbled one or two of them and declared herself satisfied with our hard work.
Apart from that I think the plan is to put our paws up and relax together for the day. I get the impression that my Mistress is just a little but tired from the travels and the excitement. Quite honestly I think we’ve had enough excitement in this household to last us a very long time, or at least until the puppies start to arrive.
