Yesterday was very exciting for my Mistress. While my Master went on a tour of Lincoln Cathedral roof, my Mistress slipped away from what she was supposed to be doing to visit a bookshop round the corner from the Cathedral which stocks some of her books. It is really nice as an author to see your books on the shelves, or so she tells me. I’ve not been allowed in any bookshops yet! Of course, she also says it’s nice when people buy the books rather than just leave them on the shelf, but they have to be on the shelf in the first place.
Then she discovered why Steep Hill is called that and was very tired by the time she got back to the top. It would have been ok if my Master hadn’t then wanted a pasty, which involved her walking all the way down the hill and back again. What is funny is because she is using a step counter to help her get fit rather than being fed up at having to do so much walking, she was excited as it may mean she makes 50 flights of stairs in one day! So far 49 has been her highest.
I’m loathed to bring you this photo as it really doesn’t seem fair. I’m stuck here and D’Artagnan is out in MY car! He said he’s had great fun seeing lots of other little cars like mine and driving round the lanes of Lincolnshire. He enjoyed having the wind in his ears when the roof was down too. If I said I wasn’t jealous I would not be telling the truth. It’s my car and I should be in it, even if I am too big for the seat.
