Wednesday 11th December 2013 – A visit to the swimming pool

I went and I lived to tell the tale. I didn’t actually swim yesterday. Yesterday’s plan was to get me used to the idea and I have to say from all angles it went pretty well. Aristotle worked really hard so he could show off to me and I did the dutiful friend bit and even put my paws up on the side of the pool so I could really look in and see how he was getting on. Then when he finished I was showered to see how I would react and I have to say not only did I not flinch but I rather enjoyed the attention and by the time I’d been blown dry as well my coat looked lovely. My treat was a lovely walk afterwards and as it was a sunny day it was pretty near perfect. I was tired after all that but it was to be expected. Apparently our vet has to do an official referral now and my first attempt to get into the pool will be in the next year, after the puppies are born.

The Christmas decorations are up. They are more modest than has been the case in previous years, but there are enough for us to enjoy. We don’t have any in the office but there are some in the other rooms downstairs. The tree is looking good, which always makes our Mistress happy. Now with only two weeks to go we really need to get on with the furniture moving and preparation for the puppies. The biggest argument is over who is sleeping where. Ari said his crate could go outside the room they will be in but I said I will need my bed there as I want to stay close to our Mistress. I think my Mistress has a plan in mind.
