Well they arrived in Switzerland yesterday afternoon, after a dreadful 450 mile drive through torrential rain. Unfortunately the first thing my Mistress has had to do is book to go to the doctor with bronchitis. She’s not feeling very well at all and is not looking forward to having to sit outside with Shadow while she mates with Falk. Shadow went for a blood test late yesterday and will get the result around lunchtime. We will then know which days she needs to visit the stud dog, but my Mistress does not expect it to be before tomorrow so she is hoping for just a little time to recover first. It will also give her an extra day with Megan which she would like and really isn’t looking forward to leaving her. Meg says she’ll be fine, but my Mistress says she’s not sure if she will be. I knew I should have gone to look after her.
Megan was very excited to be back in Switzerland and said it felt like home from home. Shadow is happy as long as my Mistress is there, but was less impressed when the vet cut her toenails as well as taking blood.
My Master says the decorating is coming on well in our absence, so I won’t be needed to lend a paw when we get back. Ari is driving me completely nuts and spend part of the morning counting the breeze blocks that make up the walls of the kennels. It wouldn’t have been so bad if he hadn’t kept losing count and starting again. I said why didn’t he make a note of each section he’d counted, but then I guess it has got to keep him amused for the next week.
