With the weather being good, after they’d all been for a walk they went to the pub for a drink. It’s not fair. Just because I said I’d skip the walk it didn’t mean I wanted to be left out of the pub as well. Megan is doing very well for walks at the moment. It’s part of my Mistress getting her settled back at home. Yesterday morning my Mistress decided to investigate what was further along a track we walk quite often and in the end they did five miles. Meg said it was lovely. They only saw one other person in the whole distance. They saw two dogs and some sheep too and a fair few rabbits, which she was not allowed to chase. It’s amazing in this day and age to be able to go somewhere so wonderfully deserted and be able to get there just walking out of your front door. At the weekend my Mistress is planning to carry on walking that way to see where it comes out, but she’s no idea how many miles they will walk to do that. She thinks it comes out somewhere near where Amigo lives but there’s only one way to find out.
In the afternoon yesterday my Mistress went to photograph a sweet shop for a book cover. To be fair her friend did the photographs but they had a lovely time. The shop is really special, it’s called Sugar Mouse in Easingwold and apart from having hundreds of jars of every sweet you can imagine they also make milkshakes of whatever sweet a person likes. While they were in there a boy came in and chose a Mars Bar milkshake – it took him ages to choose as the list was very long. My Mistress only had a peppermint tea.
