There is a poem my Mistress learnt at school about how empty a house can seem when a
child has gone. Even though there are nine of us including the puppies, suddenly without our visitors or the children the house seems very quiet and empty. I suggested she should let the puppies out of the pen to run riot and then see how empty it seemed!
Well after the brief pause for worming the puppies are doing nicely. Dickens added 110g, but then he didn’t lose the day before. He now weighs in at 3920g. Tucker who had a blip the day before made up for it adding 230g so he is now 3770g. Britannia although she hadn’t lost weight the day before added another 190g so she is now 3700g. Basil how had lost 40g made up for it by adding 160g, so he is now 3540g. Finally Beija made up for her loss by adding 170g to reach 3410g. They are all very round and cuddly and sleeping it off today by the seems of them.
I’m going to continue my theme of newspaper gripes. Please would the newspaper companies stop stapling them together? Are they insensitive to the needs of puppies? We can’t give them newspapers with staples in they might hurt themselves. We either have to discard those papers in the hope we’ll have enough without them, or sit with the staple remover and take them all out. The things we have to do for the puppies to have clean newspaper to pee on.
