Well at last we’ve seen the painter and to be fair to him he worked very hard all day and sorted out most of the problems. He’s back today to finish off. To be completely fair to him he also spotted another problem that means that the plumber will be here tomorrow morning to sort out a water leak. It wouldn’t be so bad if the leak weren’t under a tiled floor, so do they take the tiles up or the ceiling down?
It was a quiet sort of a day as my Mistress spent much of it in bed with a migraine. She had spent much of the previous night being sick and wasn’t really feeling too good. Shadow and I immediately fell into our roles of nurse maids and snuggled up in bed with her to make her feel better. She was still feeling very frail by bedtime so we got to go to bed early as well which was a bonus.
My Mistress is trying to track down a box of belongings that was last seen two years ago. Unfortunately she doesn’t know what happened to it next. She knows the number of the box when it left Belgium and she knows it must have arrived in England as she has found some of the items that were in the box, but she can’t find the rest of the things. She hasn’t got much idea where to look next and is running out of ideas. She is almost at the point of taking everything back out of the loft in case it was put up there accidentally.
