Well that was close
Well that was close. I’m supposed to be going with Mum when she next visits Switzerland, which will be soon if things go to plan. Anyway, she was looking at sorting out my paperwork for travel and realised although my rabies vaccination is up to date she doesn’t have any paperwork with it on. Can you imagine if we’d got to the last minute and I hadn’t been able to travel? Oh the problems that would have caused. I would, of course, have expected her to cancel the trip. What if she hadn’t seen it the same way? I might have been left behind. It really doesn’t bear thinking about.
Mum rang the vet yesterday and it is all being sorted out. I am one very relieved dog. It’s funny how Mum remembered to renew her own passport in plenty of time, but didn’t think of mine. A girl could get a bit of a complex around here.
Stony ground
As a result of discovering that where Aristotle wants to plant vegetables is very stony, Mum and Aristotle are now working on a programme of stone clearance. We might all join in as some of it is real actual legitimate digging. How cool is that? The squirrel had a head start and Mum has been turning up buried peanuts. The squirrel is going to be so cross when he finds all his hard work undone. Mum has taken the peanuts out and put them back in the feeder.
The pond is full
We have topped up the pond. As soon as we started to fill it the rain came down for the first time in weeks. I said it was typical but Mum said it was a good thing as it refilled faster. We’re hoping the ducks will be back again now there’s more space to swim around in. We haven’t seen them for a few days. I wondered if it was because of the alligator but Mum is hoping that is not the case. She doesn’t think the local ducks would know what an alligator was. I just hope she’s right.
