New Favourite Place – Friday 24th September 2021

New favourite place

Let me introduce you to my new favourite place. I’ve found the perfect spot in the back garden where I can hear if Mum calls me, sit in the sun and survey everything around. I love it. I’ve done some wandering around the garden and I do love to find out what’s been going on, but I keep coming back to the same spot. It is level with the middle of the patio. Behind that is a door that is fairly central to the downstairs of the house. As long as Mum shouts it means I can hear her almost everywhere. I don’t always take any notice, but I can at least hear her.

Slow progress

Mum is making very slow progress at sorting out the box situation. I think she’s already worn out. She has at least got somewhere for us to sleep now, which is good as we will be there from tonight. She will pick Dad up from the airport at about 7pm and then we will all go home together. When I say ‘all’ that’s not completely true. Mum rang Shadow and Aristotle and asked if they would give her another few days to get things straight. I think she’s so tired that driving up to collect them would be hard too. I’m finding it hard not to share all my excitement with them. Mum has said it wouldn’t be fair of me to do that.

Weekend plans

Tomorrow Mum is collecting the last of our things from the temporary accommodation we’ve been in. We have tried to take as many of the plants as we could, but there are still three blueberry bushes and an Acer to go. I think Mum is hoping to take at least one today, so that the others will go in the car more easily. Then on Sunday we are collecting the things stored at my grandparents. Given we already have no space, I don’t know where it’s all going to fit.

Love

Wilma
