Bradgate Park
I know I’ve told you about Bradgate Park before. It’s one of Mum’s favourite places in the whole wide world. Not as good as my mountain, but pretty close. Anyway, when Mum rang me yesterday she had some really good news. She’s booked for us to stay right next to Bradgate Part for two nights at the end of August for her birthday. It will be just Mum and me and we can spend all day in the park if we want to. I am so excited. There are so many things there to see and sniff that I will have a wonderful time. It’s also good to know that I can spend Mum’s birthday with her, even if we couldn’t be together for my birthday last month.
Odd request
Now I know this is going to sound odd, but Mum said that she really hopes that it drizzles all day on her birthday. She and I won’t mind one bit if we have to spend all day out in light rain. We will still have just as much fun. Her reasoning is that if it drizzles most people will stay at home so she will feel a lot safer. She says if that doesn’t happen then we will get up at dawn and go to the park before everyone else gets up and then come back for a sleep later. Then we’ll wait until they all go home and go back again. Whatever we end up doing it will be wonderful fun and I just can’t wait.
Big Week
We’re all anxiously waiting to see what happens as the week unfolds. We are hoping that by the end of this week we might have a definite date for moving to our new house. I’ve really started to understand why humans say moving house is one of the most stressful things they do. It will be good when it’s all behind us.
