Thankfully the hot water and the heating are now working again, so life can resume a semblance of normality. However, my Mistress had the strangest dream. She dreamt that a whole load of rabbits had got into the house and were lying all over her bed. It got rather worse at the point that the rabbits all started to attack me. I don’t normally go in for analysing dreams, mine are usually fairly straightforward, but I would like to know what exactly is going on in my Mistress’s head. It doesn’t sound to me to be the right sort of dream to be having.
The best thing in the whole world is about to happen, ok maybe apart from Bella moving in, which is only a week away. Anyway, there is a piece of land next to us and when the grass starts to get a bit long, the owner of the land puts some sheep on it to cut the grass. I’m going to have sheep the other side of the fence from me. Real live sheep that I can bark at and watch from the safety of a wire fence. I am beside myself with excitement. My Mistress says she will keep an eye on me and I’m supposed to behave and make the sheep feel welcome. I wonder if I’m really good, whether she would let me get one of my own. It would save her and my Master having to cut our lawn as often.
Another really good thing that has happened is that some emergency rations of marzipan have arrived from Belgium. My Mistress has hatched a plot to try to make her own but to be honest I’m sure it won’t be nearly as good as the Belgian marzipan. I don’t suppose I shall refuse to eat hers, but then I’m a dog, I don’t refuse to eat anything!
