I thought for a moment that I was going to bring you the first photo of Aristotle and Wilma sitting contentedly together on the settee, but I didn’t get the camera out fast enough and by the time I was ready Wilma was pouncing on a speck of dust that moved on the office floor! Aristotle still says she scares him witless, but I don’t think he really means it. I think they were made for each other.
Now we aren’t going for gender stereotypes here, but Wilma has asked if she can start writing about the recipes you send in for stuffing Kongs. The reason it’s Wilma is because they are really for her benefit, although we’ve offered to sample them and give our opinion too. I think Ari is going to give her a paw with it and they’ve said they will probably make variations on what you suggest and try to come up with some recipes of their own. They have sent our Mistress out to buy their first ingredients and were busy in the kitchen last night. As the results went in the freezer they haven’t tried them yet, but I’m told they will be trying their first attempts today. What they want to do is come up with things that are not too expensive and which you might have around the kitchen. Our Mistress drew the line when Ari started opening cupboards to find her best ingredients and she has also explained they must check with her before using anything in case it is something that would be hard for us.
There seems to be a pattern to our walks at the moment. I go first and it is dry for my walk and then sit in the car while Aristotle has his walk. Oh so many times recently it has rained for his. Usually it starts just as he walks away from the car. Wilma was fed up as she had been told she could have an extra walk after Ari so they could do some recall work, but it was raining so heavily by then that our Mistress said they would leave it. She’d already had one nice walk so she couldn’t complain too much.

Alfie’s Diary – the Book as well as our other books are available HERE
Congratulations Alfie on your blog award! Sorry I’m late. Only just had time to read your diary yesterday. Sammi says she would like to volunteer to try the recipes too! Have a lovely day.
Tell Sammi that she will have to get you to make them for her too. Thank you. Have a woofly day.
Hi Alfie, Just had to write – have you seen the photo of your girlfriend? She is the “cover girl” on the front of Dog Monthly magazine. She looks amazing and is a great advert for the breed. You will have to get to the shops and get a copy and put it up in your den.
Love Dickens X
Yes I’ve seen a photo of it, but we can’t find it in the shops round here. I’m sending our Mistress to a bigger shop on Tuesday in the hope she can get it for me to pin up. Have a woofly day.
My Mum got our copy in Tescos if that helps! Dickens X
Oh yes, thank you. I’ll ask our Mistress to add it to our food order – how exciting. My girlfriend is a cover girl 🙂
