Sleeping in progress

Shh sleeping in progress. We’re all at it. Mum said she was really sorry, but she would be better to just go back to bed until she felt a little better. On that basis, it would have been rude not to join her. We didn’t actually get into bed as Mum seemed to want that to herself. We just took up positions around her as lose as we could. It was a shame as it was a beautiful sunny day and I’d had in mind taking Mum for a nice long walk to catch up on our November target. Dad had gone out for the day, so I couldn’t persuade him to do something with me. At least the door was open so we could go out for an apple or two between naps.

New Cooker

We did all have to get up for long enough yesterday for the new cooker to be delivered. Mum didn’t think she ought to greet the delivery people in her dressing gown. I’m hoping to help Mum trying it out today. She said something about making cookies and I’m sure she must mean dog cookies. I know we’ve got some good recipes somewhere that I’ve been looking forward to trying. Maybe there’s a recipe we could all agree on and then humans and dogs can share. I suppose that only works until one of the humans goes to get a cookie and finds out I’ve eaten them all.

Stay safe

All you dogs in the UK, don’t forget tonight is bonfire night. With it falling on a Saturday there are more likely to be lots of fireworks going off tonight, rather than them being spread over several days. Stay safe all of you. Stay indoors if there are fireworks going off in your area and when you do need a toilet break, ask your humans to make sure you are on e well fitting lead, just in case something scares you and you might have simply run without thinking. If you don’t like the noises, then listen to music or hide under the stairs. If you can cope then find a good window to sit near and watch them.

Love
