Magic Roundabout
I need to watch a programme called Magic Roundabout that was on television when Mum was small. At the moment, because she’s having to wear knee braces she can’t get her jeans on, so is wearing dresses. That’s not so bad, except she’s still wearing them with walking boots and socks. In her words she’s modelling her appearance on a character called Florence. I just don’t know who this Florence is. Even as I dog I can tell it’s not a normal look for a human, but Mum doesn’t seem the least bit concerned.
Marrows
I’ll say one thing for Aristotle some of the things he plants do very well. The marrows are taking over from the borage as the most likely to take over the house. Some of them are planted in the same bed as the borage and they are about to do battle. On the bright side there are going to be plenty of vegetables for us all to eat before the year is out. I hope we all like marrow as it’s looking as though there is going to be an awful lot of them. There are two types so at least we will have some variety. We ate the first of the parsnips yesterday and will be starting on the carrots this week too.
Doorstop
Mum has put a doorstop in the door to what has become Ari’s bedroom, but was formerly known as the bathroom. He’s in there as it’s cooler and to save keep moving his bed it’s staying there until there is no more risk of hot weather for the year. The problem was he hit the door back against the wall running in there. Fortunately he only marked the wall, but Mum decided to take action before he managed to put the handle through the wall. It’s not as though we’ve not managed to do that before, but then that’s what Polyfilla is for!
