Spring flowers – Friday 4th February 2022

Spring flowers

I know it’s not spring yet but we do seem to have some spring flowers coming through. There are yellow crocuses in the front garden and snow drops hanging their little heads in the back garden. There would be some primroses but one of us ate those! Of course I know which one it was, but thankfully as Shadow has form for eating primroses Mum isn’t absolutely certain. Let’s face it, it’s far better I eat those than join Ari eating the rotten apples.

Outdoor time

The whole going for walks things hasn’t got off the ground just yet. I can’t be cross with Mum as it is for very good reason. She’s needed to stay near the phone, which is hard to do if we go out. However, we do have a lovely new routine of Mum doing an hour of gardening at the end of the day. We have our tea and then all troop outside together. Even Shadow has been staying outside, although it leaves her worn out afterwards. Mum started by clearing up many of the rotten apples and has moved on to digging the rest of the herb garden and carrying on with the clearing up and weeding. She has promised Aristotle they can move onto planting shortly, but it’s been a bit of an odd week.

Another week

It’s only one more week until Dad’s home again. We can’t wait. There is so much to show him. We’re hoping the weather will be good then as we can all have lots and lots of outdoor time. That’s when it’s best, when we’re all together. Paws crossed for it to be dry then. Mum is even talking about being able to have lunch outside, but I suspect Dad will think it’s too cold for that.
