Happy birthday Grandpa
I want to wish my human maternal grandpa a very happy birthday. It’s not quite the one he was expecting as he was taken into hospital yesterday. He fell over and broke his hip so is going to need an operation. We’re all thinking of you Grandpa and sending all our love and licks. Our week really isn’t going according to plan. We don’t have internet back yet either, although the engineer is supposed to be coming to fix that this morning. We just need them to fix Grandpa too, but I think that needs a different type of engineer.
Changes in the garden
One thing has gone to plan and without incident. Mum and Dad have moved my arbour into position by the pond. I’m looking forward to being able to sit on that again with my humans. It was too heavy for them to lift so Mum used the trolley as I said she was going to. To my surprise, it worked. Unlike Aristotle in his crate, the arbour didn’t fall off the trolley either. I think on balance Mum was a little surprised by the success.
Waiting for news
We’re waiting for news from my friend Izzy. She has gone to Switzerland to meet a stud dog. We’re waiting to hear when her progesterone will be at the right level for her to mate. Oh it’s all so sordid when you’re a dog. Where is love in all this? It’s just so clinical. We have tests. We’re told when to mate. It’s a wonder any of us actually have puppies at all with all the fuss that’s made. Anyway, I’d like to wish her the very best of luck and personally I hope she gets to enjoy herself too. I can’t wait to hear how she gets on.
Love
Wilma
