Second Vaccination – Monday 7th June 2021

Second Vaccination

We are celebrating Mum having her second vaccination. It reminds me of being a puppy and the excitement of being able to go out and walk on pavements once you’ve had your second puppy vaccination. Who’d have thought that humans would become so much more like us? In the same way as puppy vaccines don’t have full effect immediately, it’s just the same for humans. But having it is a big step in the right direction and it’s been a long time coming. Now let’s just hope that this time around it doesn’t lead to her being ill. I’ve got my paws firmly crossed.

Cider Making

Shadow and Dad are learning to make cider. He has his first piece of equipment which chops up the apples. He was showing Shadow how to use it yesterday and I have to say she was watching intently. I think the two of them will probably have a lot of fun together and it will certainly be good for her to be outside more of the time. She will definitely enjoy that. You might ask why it’s Shadow and not me or Aristotle. ‘Apparently’ neither of us can be trusted not to eat the apples. Oh that is so not fair. Mum went even further in warning Dad by telling him I’ve been known to remove whole branches from the trees. Ok, so that is technically true, but it doesn’t stop me helping.

Outdoor life

I think we’re all planning a bit more of an outdoor life when we move. It’s one of the things about living in Switzerland that has done Dad good. He’s found that spending time outdoors is not just enjoyable but good for him and now he even wants to do it when he’s here. Mum is delighted as she’s always enjoyed it and it’s much more fun when we can all do things together. For the record, I don’t think she’s planning to make cider either though, just Dad and Shadow.

Love
