Nothing new
It turns out there really is nothing new. There I was looking back through the archives to give you a Friday flashback and what did I find? Talk of moving house. It must be the time of year for it. Anyway, here is Alfie way back in 2008 talking about Mum and Dad selling their previous house. It does strike me nothing changes.
Dogs are much easier – Alfie in 2008
Humans could learn so much from dogs. If we need a new kennel all we have to do is go to the pet shop and buy one. Then if it isn’t in the right place we just get someone to pick to up and move it. If it gets worn out we either repair it or get a new one and put the old one on the bonfire. Have you ever seen a kennel with a for sale board outside? Do we have problems anxiously waiting for exchange of contracts on our old kennel? Do we fill it with a load of furniture and other detritus from everyday life?
Please don’t interrupt me to point out that I don’t live in a kennel, I’m speaking metaphorically. The main point I was making, not very well, was that humans do make the whole house buying and selling process ridiculously complicated.
The following year in 2009 Alfie was waiting for a puppy of his own – not that he was father of, just one he could look after.
A litter of puppy – Alfie in 2009
Well I’m delighted to say that my sister had her litter of puppy yesterday. Yes I know you’re thinking that should read puppies, but she only had one. To be honest that seems to be taking a small litter just a bit too far but the good news is that mother and daughter are both doing well. Sadly, there is someone ahead of me in the queue for the puppy, so she won’t be coming to live with us. We will just have to go on waiting. In the meantime I am taking good care of Shadow, in the hope that she grows up big, strong and healthy and able to have puppies of her own in a couple of years’ time.
Well that’s all I’ve got time for today. Have fun.
Love
Wilma
