Still howling
Well it seems Shadow is still howling – just not here. Mum has forgotten to send Shadow and Ari’s vitamins with them so had to drop them off at the kennels. Our house has been ridiculously quiet – the kennels has not. Mum says it’s too quiet, but I don’t think she really misses being woken at 5 in the morning by Shadow wanting to go out. I’m finding the quiet weird. I’ve run around the house looking for everyone and they aren’t there. I was in big trouble for doing that whole top dog thing and peeing on the carpet in Shadow’s room. I don’t normally go in there so I wasn’t going to miss the opportunity of making a point. Mum was not best pleased.
Plan for today
Well as you can imagine, my first job today involves the carpet cleaner and the carpet in Shadow’s room. Mum said she has planned to clean it at some point soon and Shadow being out of the way for a few days gave a good opportunity. After that I’m thinking of putting my paws up. Mum did write a list out of jobs needing doing but I’m guessing she isn’t going to put my name down against all of them. I could be wrong. This is where being a working breed can be a pain. Any argument on my part that I shouldn’t have to do things like that is wasted. I wouldn’t want to be a toy breed, but there are days when having ‘working’ in the title of your group comes with downsides.
Better weather
On the bright side, if the weather is reasonable we might spend some more time outside. Mum did say I could help get the garden furniture out. In that instance I’m hoping helping means running around in circles and offering Mum some encouragement.
