Packed off to kennels
Shadow and Aristotle have been packed off to kennels. With both Mum and Dad not well, I can’t look after two dogs as well as two humans. I did think about going for a break myself, but my duties are here at home. If I’m not there to keep an eye on Mum then no one will. Anyway, I gave Shadow an ultimatum. I said to her she either needed to stop howling or go and spend some time at the kennels so we could get some peace and quiet. If you know Shadow you will realise that when she puts her mind to doing something then very little will stop her. When she was picked up I did warn them she’s in a howling sort of a mood and she’s best with the radio on.
Aristotle’s no bother
To be honest, Aristotle’s no bother but I thought he could keep his mother company. I wished him luck as they set off. To be honest, the mood Shadow’s in it’s rather him than me! He did ask for his own kennel and I really don’t blame him. We suggested that Shadow has the radio on, but I did forget to tell them what her favourite radio station is. I’m sure she’ll let them know if she’s not happy.
Now down to business
In the meantime I’ve got jobs to do. Before I can look forward to climbing into bed next to Mum I need to do some tidying up. You know what humans can be like. There’s all sorts of bits of food dropped on the kitchen floor that needs cleaning up and pots to lick. I trust my help will be appreciated and there will be a spot on the bed next to Mum ready and waiting for me to get into.
