Happy Days with Dad
We are having such happy days with Dad home. It is always so much better when there are enough human hands around to stroke you all at the same time. It’s also good when someone stops Mum from working too much. We are all having lovely walks, sleeping well and are much happier for it. Some of that would have happened without Dad, now that Mum’s first vaccination at least gives some protection, but Dad certainly makes everything better. I keep telling him how much I love him. I don’t want him to miss the message.
Yesterday I was helping with the wardrobe again. We have got as far as the doors being removed. Today two sections of wardrobe will be dismantled. My help is generally along the lines of ‘Don’t get in the way, Wilma, this is heavy,’ but I give moral support.
Doing Nothing
The other good thing is that Dad is much better at doing nothing than Mum. You may not think that’s a good thing, but we do. It means we get to laze around on the settee being cuddled for long stretches of time. I think that’s a bit of a result. Shadow has to get help climbing up but Ari and I can both get onto the settee with no trouble at all. We tend to fight if we’re all up there at the same time, so we take turns, but I can live with that.
All we need now is the weather to be nice enough to spend the rest of the day sitting outside and we’ll be happy for the whole day. I don’t ask for much out of life, just my people, some sunshine and some love. It’s not a bad life being a dog around here.
Love
Wilma
