We are not stupid
We are not stupid and we know the clocks changed yesterday. Mum, on the other paw, has cancelled the morning alarm clock and is not getting up an hour earlier. I had banked on breakfast moving forward an hour. Mum seems to be expecting the time we have breakfast to go back and hour. Does she think we can’t read the clock? Ok, to be fair, she hasn’t got around to changing half the clocks in the house and some of them have been in their own time zones for quite a while. However, the computer changes automatically and that’s the one I look at.
Even Shadow knows
There is no clock in Shadow’s room. I may be guilty of telling her the time. She asked for her tablets at 3.30pm the same as always. Mum said she could have them at 4.30 which was the new ‘same as always’. If I can get Shadow on side then the battle will be won. She will get Mum up at times of night that prove most annoying and that is one of the most effective ways to get results. It’s just a matter of tactics.
Hunger Games
The Hunger Games is one of Mum’s favourite books. It does seem appropriate to me at the moment. Thankfully no one’s life is at risk and we don’t have to dodge all sorts of dreadful things. However, there can only be one winner in all this. When I say ‘one’ I probably mean three. On the whole if we gang together and bark incessantly it will only be a matter of time before Mum gives in. We should have this battle sorted in a few days, but until then it’s going to be three against one. The odds are ever in our favour.
