Sunflowers
Today is the measuring of the village sunflower competition. Ours did not take long to measure. I think if you spend the rest of the year feeding the birds and squirrels with sunflower seeds, you can’t be too surprised when something eats the ones you’ve tried to plant. Mum loves the sight of sunflowers, but sadly apart from a few husks there really is nothing to show for her efforts in our garden. However, it seems there are lots of very talented people in our village and there are lovely sunflowers all around. Hopefully, the birds and squirrels can help themselves once it’s all over.
A week and counting
It’s only a week, well eight days, until Dad comes home and we’re counting it off on our paws. At the moment it is all of mine and Shadow’s paws, but I’ll be able to count without her when we get Wednesday. The world always seems much better to us all when we have our family together in one place. Well, almost, it’s best of all when I have them all to myself, but second best is sharing them with Shadow and Ari.
Looking for TV Stars
We had an email yesterday from a company that is looking for some dogs and cats to become TV stars. They are looking for families with dogs and cats who don’t get on. It’s all about having an animal behaviourist to come and mediate between your pets in the hope they can have some sort of resolution and reconciliation. Now I know all of you pets reading this are basically happy souls, living in harmony with your fellow pets, but you might know some less content four-legged friends who don’t get on. If so please pass the information to them in case they fancy going on the pet equivalent of Oprah or Jeremy Kyle.
