Ari is fine
Well, after his day at the vet, Ari is fine. He did not have his claw removed as it is only a hairline fracture. It has been cut back as far as possible and he will need to keep it bandaged and protected for a few days, but as long as he is sensible he should be fine. You may well have spotted the problem in that last sentence. As a breed, we are not prone to being sensible, not where injury is concerned anyway. Getting any one of us to stop throwing ourselves around is not an easy thing to achieve. I get told to slow down all the time, but do I listen? Not one bit. Unlike most of us however Aristotle is volunteering to spend time in his crate. It’s actually Mum telling him he can’t stay in there all day, which may seem odd to you, but he loves his crate.
He is complaining about his bandage being pink. However, so is the neoprene book that Mum has in the cupboard for him to try so he may as well get used to it.
Shadow’s swim
Shadow thinks of her swimming more as her weekly spa day than as being for fitness. She loves going. Yesterday she was totally refusing to rest and just wanted to swim up and down the length of the pool for the whole time.
It’s not just the pool she enjoys. She simply loves her shower and blow dry afterwards. She says by the time she’s finished she feels really special. Her coat is always lovely and glossy too.
Back in the Lounge
Alfie is very happy to have moved back to the lounge. He says it really suits him very well and it does get lots of sunshine, which we both try to make the most of. Mum says the worst part about there being a proper bed in the room is the number of times in a day that she thinks it might be an idea to get into it for a nap.
