We got here – Monday 9th December 2019

We got here

It took a long time but we got here in the end. You can’t know how glad we all were to get out of the car and have a good run around. Ok, I was the only one doing any running, but I think Mum had a good hobble. She was trying to work out how she’s going to do things around the house while Dad was still here to lend a hand moving things around. Her main decision was to keep a rucksack handy to carry things in while she uses her crutches, I’m just not quite sure how that works with cups of coffee. It could become a very wet rucksack!

As I wrote that, she explained that she has a flask mug she can use, so maybe she’s not as stupid as I thought.

All Change

Anyway, I’ve volunteered to have a few days in kennels and let Alfie look after Mum. They both move at much the same pace, so I’m guessing that will be a good arrangement. I’m going to keep Aristotle and Shadow in order instead. Mum has been really looking forward to seeing Alfie after hearing the bad news last week about his sister. I think she will have a lovely week just the two of them and I’m trying really hard not to be jealous.

Mum has to go to the hospital this morning anyway so we’ll see what they tell her. It’s just a shame that Dad can’t stay around as I think right now we’d all appreciate that. He was at home for 12 hours which was more than I was expecting and it’s only just over a week until he’ll be home for Christmas so I’m going to count the days down on the calendar.

Right I’m off to pack my little case for a few days. I shall leave you in Alfie’s paws. I hope he realises he’s going to have to do some work!

Love

Wilma
