Heidi Needs a Home

My friend Heidi needs a home. Heidi is an Entlebucher, just like me and many of you will already know her story, but here is a brief reminder. Heid was diagnosed as having a condition called Ectopic Ureter when she was a puppy. It means the lines from her kidneys to her bladder come into her bladder in the wrong place and leaves her incontinent. Anyway, she had one operation, which wasn’t done correctly and then a series of operations to try to put things right and sort her out. She doesn’t react well to operations, so in the end having any more just wasn’t the right answer for her.

Bringing up Heidi

Heidi has spent the last three years of her life in our Club’s rescue. That has meant she has been living with Alfie’s girlfriend Bella’s human and has had all the care a dog could hope for in a family environment and with other dogs. It has taken all that time to be confident her health is stable and she really is ready to move to a forever home of her very own. She’s a really loving dog and would be so happy if she could have her own human. She has got used to wearing dog pants, so she doesn’t leave lots of mess in the house if she’s got them on. She doesn’t like wearing them if there are other dogs around though as I think it makes her feel a bit insecure.

Temperament

She’s a really nice girl who is very sociable and ready to give as much love as any of our breed can give – which is a lot! Our Club will provide full medical background and information to anyone who is interested in giving her a home and will provide ongoing support to her and her new family. If you think you might be interested in finding out more then send an email to Sarah at rescue@entlebucher.co.uk

Also, do please share this post with your friends, neighbours and colleagues in case one of them might be interested to have a very special dog as a companion.

Love
