Excited Dogs
We’re all excited dogs. Three of us are excited for the same reason and Shadow is just permanently excited. Anyway, the three of us are all excited about our Mistress’s new chair that’s arriving this morning. It’s big enough for her and one dog and she’s promised we can all take turns sitting in it with her. It’s called a ‘cuddler’ chair so you get the general idea. I’m just hoping I can get up onto it.
She has said she’ll bring the steps through for me so I can try it, but if I’m honest I’m not overly happy with the steps we’ve got. They are special ones for dogs. In that they are good. But whoever designed them thought it would be a good thing to make each step slope so that you go up further than if they were flat. Now, I don’t know about you, but if you need something like that to help with your mobility then adding the disorientating problem of finding they slope is just not helpful. There is a reason staircases that are not designed that way.
Swimming
We did have a good time at swimming yesterday, Shadow and I. I was calmer than I’ve been for a few weeks which very much helped. Shadow just couldn’t stop smiling even in anticipation of getting into the pool. She’s a funny little thing when she’s like that. I did look at her yesterday and think she was starting to look older. I know I’m even older, but you don’t always notice it in those around you.
On the bright side, I got on the scales at swimming and found I was a little trimmer than I’d thought. It’s not that at my age I value my waistline, it’s more that it means our Mistress will give me more treats if she knows I’m not overweight. I’m now trying to see what I can negotiate for.
